The low-profile head of the screw reduces the risk of soft tissue irritation. Fully threaded screws are designed to support fractures where there is little to no compression across the fracture site.
Specifications
This is Self Tapping Screw -These screws cut their own thread as they are driven into the bone. It creates a tight friction fit between the threads by making a small hole while entering the bone. This reduces vibration loosening and allows the parts to be disassembled if necessary.
By eliminating the need for tapping, self-tapping screw tips make screw insertion easier.
When screws are angled, the hemispherical head ensures optimal annular contact with washers and plates.
To increase resistance to pull out, the Cancellous thread profile employs deep ‘cutting threads’ with a large pitch. The large pitch also makes screw insertion and removal faster.
Thread length selection allows for the best fit of threads into far bone fragments, resulting in greater interfragmentary compression.
When screws are angled, the hemispherical head ensures optimal annular contact with washers and plates.
